Buffalo Turkey Lettuce Wraps

The Super Bowl is taking place in Indianapolis this weekend and downtown is filled with excited visitors and Hoosiers! There's a fleet of food trucks parked in the circle downtown and people slicing through the air on zip lines which all adds up to a great time. Oh, and don't forget the phenomenal weather we've had! I plan on spending most of my weekend downtown participating in the festivities, eating great food, drinking cold beer, and listening to free concerts (in addition to Snoop Dogg tonight).

So to gear up for all that, I wanted to make a healthier dish with Frank's Buffalo Hot Sauce. I absolutely love hot wings and could definitely put away my fair share, but sometimes there's a bit of food guilt that lingers. I was able to avoid that feeling by making lettuce wraps with ground turkey and Frank's Buffalo Hot Sauce (I pinned the recipe on my Pinterest "Food Porn" Board, originally from here). These were light and healthy with just the right amount of wing sauce. Great alternative to the standard Super Bowl dishes you'd normally bring to a party!

                            1.   1/2 cup Frank's Hot Sauce (I used Hot Buffalo, be careful it's spicy
               2.     1 cup raw celery, thinly sliced
               3.     1 head of lettuce
               4.     Crumbled blue cheese (blue cheese or ranch dressing is yummy too)
               5.     1 lb. ground turkey
               6.     3/4 carrots, shaved (I thinly sliced carrot chips i had on hand)
               7.     1/2 jalapeno, thinly sliced (optional for more heat)
               8.     2 cloves of garlic, minced
               9.     1/2 large onion, diced
             10.     Salt and pepper (I didn't add any salt due to high sodium in the sauce)

 {sauté, pour, and stir}
