Indiana State Fair

Hi everyone! First off, I am so grateful for Pillsbury to have featured my recipe on their Facebook Page yesterday! I'm blown away by all of the sweet comments and amount of likes it received! I was seriously on cloud 9 all day and haven't really come down just yet. It definitely inspires me to keep cooking and share my wannabe chef endeavors with all of you. However, today I'm going to focus on someone else's food - The Indiana State Fair. A small group of us went last Friday with empty bellies and a lot of cash. Over a four hour span, we hit what seemed like every food/drink/dessert stand possible. Tyler and I captured a decent amount of pictures, but honestly we were so engulfed in our food and people watching that we didn't focus too much on pictures. Hope you enjoy some of the food snap shots below!

 {Indiana State Fair}
 {Playing dress up}
 {Aggressive hungry goats that kind of scared me}
 {Caught in action}
 {Super hot sweet corn that was worth slightly burning my mouth}
 {Delicious deep fried veggies}
 {Elephant ears}
 {Deep fried Oreos}
 {Tyler doing some people watching}
{Wore my new dress from Niche Boutique in Broad Ripple - obsessed!}
{This ginormous turkey leg was my main course}
 {Apparently I missed out on the Lemon Shake Ups, but there's always next year}
 {Perfect weather for the fair}
{This Bavarian funnel cake was the best and last thing we ate. Oh. Em. Gee.}

I'll be attending the Pattern meetup tonight to preview the Pattern Paper Fall 2012 issue. I'm super excited to see what the editorial team has put together as well as talk Fall trends! Perfect timing before I head to New York City in one week to explore and go shopping with Tyler. Of course, when I return there will be lots more shopping to do for Indy's 1st Fashion's Night Out on 9/6! For my Indy readers, make sure you check out Pattern and/or Social Club 19 for more information on the event! I'll give you a full information post next week, but hop on over to their sites if you just can't wait that long ;)

xx
